About this Design
Galactic Empire - Steel, part of the STAR WARS™ | Baxter Mill collaboration, is drawn from a mid‑century screen‑printed wallpaper in the Baxter Mill Archive. Rendered in blue-grey, warm bronze, and bone, the graphic repeat depicts the Death Star in Return of the Jedi, TIE fighters, battling AT‑ATs, Darth Vader’s iconic Rogue One scene, and the final lightsaber duel between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi. Bold contrast and cinematic scale reflect both modernist design and the Empire’s brutalist aesthetic.
