Our Design Legacy with Disney: Foundations in Print & Pattern
Springs’ heritage divisions—whose archives now live within Baxter Mill Archive—held early Disney licenses for juvenile and infant bedding, establishing decades of design collaboration rooted in character‑driven storytelling and textile craftsmanship.
An Era of Dedicated Disney Production
Within Springs’ Wamsutta Division, a specialized studio was established to support Disney programs, bringing together merchandising, design, and product development under one focused operation. This period yielded a wide range of character prints created in collaboration with licensed guidelines, many of which are now preserved in the Baxter Mill Archive.
National Licensing Partner
As a national Disney licensing partner, Springs supported a broad range of character programs across classic franchises and major film releases. Textile designs developed within licensed guidelines—from Mickey & Friends to The Lion King and 101 Dalmatians—are preserved today in the Baxter Mill Archive.
