Darling is inspired by a 19th‑century French pencil sketching preserved in the Baxter Mill Archive, re‑imagined with the graceful charm of Disney’s Peter Pan. The design features hand‑drawn ribbon swags, delicate bow motifs, and softly rendered ornamental fields that echo the light, textural strokes of its original sketch in a muted blue-grey. Fine tonal shading and subtle etching bring depth to the draped composition, creating a pattern that feels both historic and refreshingly interpreted. As part of the Disney | Baxter Mill Archive collaboration, Darling blends early French decorative influence with a gently narrative sensibility for a refined, character‑inflected design.
