About this Design
Peter Pan is re‑imagined from a historic archival wallpaper preserved in the Baxter Mill Archive, transforming a traditional damask structure into a narrative pattern inspired by Disney’s Peter Pan. Ornate, painterly motifs form layered medallions in rose-tones and muted mauve and apricot, within which Peter’s silhouette appears in quiet, heroic poses, echoing the film’s themes of courage, mischief, and the call to adventure. Textured brushwork, tonal shading, and rhythmic symmetry reflect the expressive character of the original wallpaper while bringing renewed depth and movement to the composition.
