About this Design
Created for the Disney | Baxter Mill Collaboration, Ariel - Sunken draws inspiration from a 19th century gouache tapestry painting from the Baxter Mill Archive, weaving together scenes from Disney's The Little Mermaid within a richly layered floral landscape. Ariel and Prince Eric appear throughout the design alongside storybook waterways, architectural landmarks, and garden vistas that evoke their unforgettable journey. Rose, mauve, gold, blush, and cream tones enhance the romantic character of the composition, bringing warmth and depth to this scenic interpretation of Ariel's world.
