About this Design
Drenched in deep blue and slate tones, Thingamabob - Fathoms brings added depth and drama to Ariel's hidden silhouette. Created for the Disney | Baxter Mill Collaboration, the design draws inspiration from an early 20th century wallpaper from the Baxter Mill Archive, transforming flowing Art Nouveau ornament into a tribute to Disney's The Little Mermaid. Ariel appears throughout the pattern among sweeping botanical forms that echo the movement of ocean currents, celebrating her curiosity, independence, and fascination with the world beyond the sea.
